up to protect the public's health and consumer interests in relation to food

The leading public organisation for protecting and improving the environment
in England and Wales. Includes information about air and water quality, flooding
and waste

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
CDC, as the sentinel for the health of people in the United States and throughout
the world, strives to protect people’s health and safety, provide reliable health
information, and improve health through strong partnerships
US Food and Drug Administration
The FDA is responsible for protecting the health of the US public by assuring
the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products,
medical devices, food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation
